Supreme Court Preview
October 30, 2018
“My politics would be, must be, have to be, completely separate from my judgment.”
— Associate Justice Elena Kagan, Supreme Court of the United States
On October 30, 2018, AAUW previewed several of the cases that the U. S. Supreme Court might review during the October 2018 term. We broadened the conversation to include the congressional landscape and the potential impact on AAUW policy priorities. Ebonee Avery-Washington, LAF program manager, hosted the conference call and Deborah J. Vagins, AAUW’s senior vice president of public policy and research, shared her analysis of cases that impact our most fundamental rights.
