AAUW supports members by offering formal training and opportunities to help volunteers lead at the branch, state, and national levels. AAUW provides members with tools and resources to make them the best leaders they can be, offering everything from in-person workshops to online resources.
Leader Essentials
AAUW resources includes dozens of Leader Essentials, how-to resources that help you build the necessary skills to be an effective leader and advance AAUW’s mission. Leader Essentials include step-by-step processes, tips, and tricks for doing everything from recruiting new members to planning programs and developing future leaders. You can also find the tool kit for your leadership role.

Salary Negotiation Workshops
AAUW’s Work Smart salary negotiation workshops are designed to empower women with the skills and confidence to successfully negotiate salary and benefits packages. AAUW members can attend a workshop, become trained salary negotiation facilitators for AAUW Work Smart or AAUW Start Smart, or become ambassadors to help recruit workshop host sites.
